Mainstream Course - English as an Additional Language
The English Institute’s Mainstream English programme is tailored for students from Primary (Grades 1–6) through High School (Grades 1–3), focusing on building English language proficiency at each stage. Through a structured curriculum and assessments, including internal exams and Cambridge qualifications (Movers, Flyers, KET, PET, FCE, and IGCSE English as a Second Language), students develop essential reading, writing, and comprehension skills for academic success.
STEP 1 (Elementary Grade 1), STEP 2 (Elementary Grade 2), and STEP 3 (Elementary Grade 3) are our entry-level classes, with limited spaces in STEP 4–10 classes. As students typically begin English in Elementary School, STEP 3 students will take a diagnostic test to assess their English proficiency. For entry into STEP 4–10, a placement test is required. This test, costing EUR 30, helps determine the most suitable entry level in consultation with the relevant Head of Section to support your child’s educational journey.
